Mangaluru, May 12: A tense atmosphere prevailed at Mogaveera Patna beach in Ullal on the outskirts of the city following a clash between two groups belonging to different communities over a trivial issue.

A group of five youths from Deralakatte including Alfaz, Noushad and Sinan had visited Mogaveera Patna beech in the evening. They were playing near the water. When their ball fell into the water, two among them entered the water.
