
Mangalore, Aug 5: The students of St Agnes PU College organised a variety show to celebrate French Day.
The programmee started with a tuneful French prayer song sung by French students. After the welcome speech, the audience was treated to a humorous presentation of France and its culture. It was followed by a hip hop dance choreographed entirely by the French students themselves kept the audience tapping their feet in rhythm.
Following this, the Chief Guest, Dr. Sr. Agatha Mary A.C. gave the message for the day. A Catchy duet was then sung, following which, an eye catching rendition of the skit Cinderella', was performed. The programmee wrapped up with a vote of thanks, a final song and French cuisine.
The guests of honour Sr. Maria Roopa and Sr Sahana were welcomed to the programmee in the traditional Indian manner, complete with rose water, garlands and arathi' The ideas of Mr. Ronald D'souza, the French Professor of St.Agnes P.U. College, the event was a much looked forward to event by students. The students under his guidance put up panoply of programmes geared to display the best of French culture.
