Hindu outfits protest ban on Sri Ram Sene

Panaji, Sep 15: The right wing Hindu outfits under the banner of National Hindu Movement (NHM) on Sunday morning held protests in Ponda in central Goa asking the State government to immediately lift the unconstitutional ban imposed on Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik and his associates in Goa.

They also asked that the Union and State governments to enact stringent laws to stop alleged Love Jihad' throughout the country. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Goa State Coordinator Manoj Solanki said in cases of Love Jihad, if a victimised woman from a non-Muslim community gets married, she should be granted divorce immediately if she wishes so.

About 100 persons representing groups like Shiv Sena, Mayem Gram Raksha Dal, Sanatan Sanstha, Rana Ragini took part.

A spokesperson of the NHM told presspersons that a memorandum demanding an end to Love Jihad' was forwarded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
