I am shocked, hurt and feel humiliated: Mutalik after BJP cancelled his membership

Bangalore, Mar 24: Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Muthalik, whose BJP membership was cancelled within four hours after he formally joined the party says that he has been betrayed by some people. He attacked BJP national president Rajnath Singh for canceling his membership. Speaking to a news channel from Hubli, he said that he would decide his future course of action in a day or two.

He said “Karnataka BJP had agreed and I went there. BJP state president Prahlad Joshi, former deputy CM KS Eshwarappa and many others were there. They asked me to help BJP in making Narendra Modi the next Prime Minister. I agreed. Just because some twitter people and some so called national leaders of the BJP started attacking the decision, BJP national leaders reversed it. It won't help them. My followers are angry. I felt humiliated. Still feeling. BJP has taken a hasty decision. But, I will support the BJP. National president of BJP has taken a hasty decision. I demand that he should take me back into the party. It shows that Rajnath Singh does not trust state president. RSS was involved in the decision. It had RSS approval. What Rajnath Singh did is wrong. If I am wrong let the court decide that. Not Rajnath Singh. State BJP leaders want me. They have apologised to me.”

BJP is a force because of people like me '

He said, “Let the BJP leaders say that I have never been with them. BJP is a force in Karnataka because of people like me. To make others MLAs, MPs, ministers and chief ministers I went to jail. Took police beating, attended courts. Now they don't want me. I am an embarrassment for them. What about other corrupt people in the BJP? Are not they embarrassment? Corruption is okay. Fighting for Hinduism is wrong. I am a poor man, have no money, never made. I went to jail for trying to promote Indian values. I demand an answer. I did not committ murder or rape. I joined BJP to prevent division of the party's votes.”

“Voters will teach them a lesson. Congress also made it big. I am not a crook like others. Let the god punish them. I am shocked and hurt,” he said.

Apologised for Pub attack '

“What happened in Mangalore was blown out of proportion. I have apologized many times for attacking women. I was in jail for 15 days. We are not criminals. We taught a lesson to immoral people. I never thought that a minor incident happened in 2009 would cause so much trouble after 5 years. State leaders must convince the BJP national leadership,” he said.

He also said that BJP used him for political gains. “Yes, I was with the RSS and Bhajrang Dal. I left them in 2004. I have been on my own since 2004. I never sought any favours from them,” he said.

dengue.jpg

Mangaluru, May 8: The health officials in Dakshina Kannada are concerned over the increase in dengue cases in the rural areas of the district. They've seen 108 cases since January, compared to 45 last year.

Dr. Naveen Chandra Kulal, who works on controlling diseases spread by insects, says humidity makes mosquitoes breed more.

People storing water in pots and drums during summer also make more mosquitoes, he added.

In Lingappayyakadu village near Mulky, a survey found people store lots of water because they don't have regular drinking water. Dr. Kulal says this water becomes a place for mosquitoes to breed if containers aren't closed properly.

Dengue cases are also rising in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and other districts, he said. Even though there haven't been big groups of dengue cases in Dakshina Kannada yet, the health department is trying hard to stop it from spreading. They're doing things like teaching people how to prevent dengue and getting rid of places where mosquitoes can breed.

So far this year, Dakshina Kannada district has only had 16 cases of malaria. Dr. Kulal says many of these cases were among workers who came from other states to work on building sites.

Dr. Thimmaiah HR, who works for the health department, says if people have a fever, they should go to the nearest clinic or hospital. He also says they should get tested if they have symptoms of dengue or malaria and be careful about the hot weather.

revanna..jpg

Bengaluru, May 14: JD(S) leader HD Revanna has been released from Parappana Agrahara Jail today, on May 14 after he was granted conditional bail.

He was granted a conditional bail yesterday by a Bengaluru court in connection with a kidnapping case linked to sexual abuse allegation against him and his son Prajwal.

Revanna was arrested on May 4 by Special Investigative Team (SIT) officials in a kidnapping case registered against him at KR Nagar police station in the city. The case is linked to his son and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna’s mega sex scam.

Representing the JD(S) MLA from Holenarsipura, he termed this case a "political conspiracy" against him.

A SIT, constituted by the Karnataka government, is probing the alleged sexual abuse against against HD Revanna and his son Prajwal Revanna.

Prajwal Revanna, the incumbent MP, is seeking another term from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency. The voting for the seat took place on April 26.

Earlier, JD (S) chief HD Kumaraswamy alleged that Karnataka government does not want a fair inquiry.

"They are misusing the office. Nothing is going to happen ultimately. They wanted character assassination of HD Revanna and for that reason, they are using their office," Kumaraswamy told ANI.

Meeting Karnataka Governor Tawara Chanda Gehlot on May 9, a delegation of the Janata Dal (Secular) submitted a memorandum and urged Gehlot to recommend a CBI probe.

Prajwal sill absconding

The JD(S) MP, Prajwal, fled to Germany after Karnataka State Commission for Women Nagalakshmi Chowdhary wrote to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seeking an investigation into over obscene videos of Prajwal Revanna allegedly sexually abusing several women. He has also skipped summons issued by the SIT to appear before it.

The ‘obscene videos’ involving Prajwal Revanna started making the rounds ahead of the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka on April 26, triggering a political slugfest.

A lookout notice against Prajwal Revanna has been issued at all airports in India, along with a Blue Corner notice. A Blue Corner notice issued by Interpol helps countries collect and share information regarding a person's location and their activities as part of a criminal investigation.
