Bengaluru, May 31: Continuing his weekly Bengaluru Rounds, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said there was a need to form a committee that will coordinate between various civic agencies.
The need for such a committee was apparent when a part of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP)’s ambitious TenderSURE project was undone by fresh digging of the newly-laid footpath by Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) on St. Marks Road, said the Chief Minister after his rounds on Saturday.
There was an undeniable election campaign feel to the tour. From Vidyaranyapura to Yelahanka, the convoy stopped at numerous places where the chief minister interacted with Congress workers who greeted him with firecrackers and banners.
However, the most “love” came from a group of men standing outside a bar in Yelahanka.
Mr. Siddaramaiah saluted the group that enthusiastically waved at him. Suddenly one man – visibly drunk – shouted at the top of his voice: “I love you”.
The Chief Minister as well as former Union Minister M. Veerappa Moily were taken aback, but broke into a smile.
