Udupi, May 1: Venkatesh Puranik B., a student of R.N. Shetty PU College, in Kundapur, has topped in Commerce in Udupi district. He has got 549 out of 600.
Son of Subrahmanya Puranik, a priest and Annapurna Puranik, a homemaker, Mr. Venkatesh Puranik used to study about two to three hours a day.
“I am happy at getting 594 marks. I was expecting to get above 590 marks. My aim is to become a chartered accountant,” he said.
Residing in Basrur village near Kundapur, Mr. Puranik had scored 622 out of 625 marks in SSLC.
His hobbies are participating in quiz competitions and reading books.
