After flagging off the vehicle rally organized by the Congress in Mangalore, he said that the works of the BJP government in the state is in open. However, the Youth Congress has taken the onus of creating awareness among the people about state BJP's misdeeds.
“If the BJP continues to be in power at the state one can imagine what will happen to the citizens. The Youth Congress should inform people about the corrupt governance brought in by the BJP,” he said adding that unity is the main thing required at this juncture of time.
“We can come to power only if there is unity in the party. Don't aim at becoming leaders of factions. In fact sideline those who resort into groupism or breaking the party,” Poojary said.
District Congress Committee President B Ramanath Rai said that the Youth Congress members have the power in their hands to oust the corrupt government at the state.
Congress leader Ivan D'Souza welcomed the gathering.
Former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake, former minister B A Moideen among others were present.
The rally passed through P V S Circle-City Centre- Hampankatta-Light House Hill-Balmatta-Kankanady-Pumpwell Circle-Padil and culminated at Kannur maidan. A public meet was held at Kannur maidan.
