Mysuru/Madikeri: Oct 31, The Karnataka state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party?has decided to make a complaint to Governor Vajubhai Vala and initiate legal action against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah after he slammed Sangh Parivar’s beef politics.

BJP leader CT Ravi has termed the CM’s statement as ‘unconstitutional’. He said that being a non-practising advocate, Siddaramaiah should have known that his statement, made in the capacity of holding a constitutional post, would “provoke a section of society against the Constitution.”
He said that before challenging the BJP on this issue, the chief minister should seek the reaction of his wife, who worships cattle for the welfare of her husband and family members.
Meanwhile, Mysuru MP Prathap Simha said that of the 21 states which have banned cow slaughter and Congress was in power in 17 states when the ban was enforced.
Speaking to presspersons in Kushalnagar (Kodagu district), State BJP president Pralhad Joshi described Siddaramaiah’s statement as an “attempt at disrupting communal harmony.”
He said that the chief minister should not have given the statement in the wake of the Dadri lynching incident.
