The hotel, Hayat Rabbani was sealed on March 19 after more than 150 cow vigilantes protested outside the hotel and thrashed its staff alleging that beef was cooked and served there.

Nearly two months after the incident, Jaipur police said that the FSL report reveals that the meat samples which underwent testing does not belong to a cow. Deputy commissioner of police (west) Ashok Gupta said, “The reports suggest that meat was not beef. Police had taken samples from the hotel on the night of March 19th and sent it to the forensic science laboratory (FSL) for testing.”

Reacting to the FSL report, the owner of the sealed Hotel, Nayeem Rabbani said, “Now after the reports have arrived, administration should believe in it and unseal the hotel. When I tried to convince Police and administration, none of them were in the mood to listen to me. I have suffered a huge monetary loss from last two months.”

On April 29th, a lower court in its order had instructed Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) to unseal the hotel within seven days. But its been ten days and the administration is yet to unseal the hotel.

Hotel Owner demands action against Sadhvi Kamal Didi

The Hotel owner has also demanded action against self claimed Sadhvi Kamal Didi of the Mahila Gauraksha Dal for creating ruckus and thrashing the hotel staff.

“Police should take action against Kamal Didi who with her supporters stormed into the hotel and thrashed my employees. She and her supporters raised slogans against us. This was a mere stunt of attempting another move towards saffronisation”, Nayeem Rabbani added.

Kamal Didi had also lodged an FIR against the hotel administration at the Sindhi Camp police station. Under section 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) of the IPC.

On the midnight of March 19, more than 150 cow vigilantes surrounded the Hotel Hayat Rabbani situated near the Bus Stand in Jaipur. Vigilante led by Kamal Didi protested outside the hotel for two days alleging that the establishment sold beef, which is banned in Rajasthan. Also, two of its staff members were arrested for alleged improper disposal of meat remains.

Mangaluru, Dec 2: Mangaluru International Airport responded to a medical emergency late on Monday night. Air India Express flight IX 522, travelling from Riyadh to Thiruvananthapuram, was diverted to Mangaluru Airport after a passenger in his late 30s experienced a medical emergency on board.
