Hubballi, Sept 17: Pramod Muthalik, the founder of Sri Rama Sene, has said that the State government should be squarely blamed for the murder of Prof M?M?Kalburgi.

“The security cover for Kalburgi was withdrawn though he was facing a threat for his life. CCTV cameras have not been installed at his house and plainclothesmen were not deployed for his protection. Going by all these lapses, Home Minister K?J?George should be blamed for the murder of Kalburgi,” Muthalik has said. He was addressing a press meet here on Wednesday.
Muthalik said attempts were being made to shield assailants by targeting Hindu organisations and declared that Sri Rama Sene was prepared for any kind of probe by any agency in connection with Kalburgi’s murder.
He said the writers, who took out a protest march in Dharwad on September 14, had named Sri Rama Sene behind the murder of Kalburgi in their memorandum submitted to the deputy commissioner. “We will send legal notices to all the 138 writers who have signed the memorandum asking them to furnish any evidence on involvement of Sri Rama Sene in the murder,” Muthalik said.
