Mangalore, Sep 8: Born with Down syndrome, Puttur Suresh Nayak, aged 41 and his nephew Puttur Satvik Nayak, aged 5, have got their names entered in the Asia Book of Records for being the First Down Syndrome Magician to Perform Magic Shows' and being the Youngest to Perform Most Magic Shows for a Noble Cause' respectively.
Announcing this at a press conference here on Monday, Umesh Nayak said that together, Suresh Nayak and Satvik Nayak had performed dozens of magic shows at educational institutions, special schools and old-age homes across the state, since chief minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the Down Syndrome awareness campaign in Bangalore in October 2013.
For having achieving this feat, their names were entered into the Asia Book of Records respectively, he said.
Suresh Nayak already holds a title in the India Book of Records for being the First Down Syndrome Magician to Perform Magic Shows', while Satvik Nayak too hold a title in the India Book of Records for being the Youngest to Perform Most Magic Shows for a Noble Cause'.
The duo have performed over a 100 magic shows together in institutions in the state, he said.
