Mangaluru, Oct 8: Speakers at a protest meet organised by ‘United Muslim Organisation’ in the city on Thursday come down heavily on Sangh Parivar leaders for their recently exposed conspiracies and demanded stringent action against them.
The protest comes in the wake of a sting operation carried out by Cobrapost and Gulail news portals that revealed the fact that the concept of so called ‘love jihad’ was fabricated by Sangh Pairvar leaders to instill fear in the society and make political gains.
The demand of the protesters include stringent action against three Sangh Parivar leaders from Mangaluru – MLC Ganesh Karnik, BJP leader Srikar Prabhu and VHP leader Jagadish Shenava– who were exposed through sting operation, deportation of communal leaders who disrupt law and order in the district, withdrawal of false cases slapped against Muslim youths, action against those police personnel who support communal and criminal elements and precautionary measures to avert all kinds of conspiracies of Sangh Parivar.
Addressing the protesters, who had gathered in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner, K Ashraf, president, United Muslim Organisation, said that the saffron outfits have systematically targeted minorities in coastal Karnataka in the name of so ‘called love jihad’.
“The saffron outfit leaders have also now admitted that false cases have been slapped against Muslim youths and in the name of ‘love jihad’. It is time to withdraw all false cases against Muslim youths and give them compensation,” he said.
Ismail K, another speaker, taking a dig at those who spread false rumours of ‘love jihad’, said that Sangh Parivar and its ideology is a threat for Hindu girls.
“The reason behind elopement of Hindu girls is that they are fed with the men who mistreat them. In some cases Hindu woman earns and jobless husband swallows her hard earned money,” he said.
