The accused is Vikram Kumar, who owns a Career Guidance in K R Puram in Bengaluru.
In a complaint with the Ullal police, M.G. Subbaiah said he received a call from Vikram assuring him of two MBBS seats for his two daughters and one seat for his friend’s daughter at the K.S. Hegde Medical Academy. He had fixed Rs. 34 lakh for each seat.
Mr. Subbaiah said he had paid an advance of Rs. 30 lakh in instalments on June 11 and June 26. On June 29, Vikram called Mr. Subbaiah to the academy where the latter brought the remaining money and some post-dated cheques.
Vikram disappeared after calling Mr. Subbaiah to the sixth floor of the building where the administrator sits. Mr. Subbaiah said he found the bag containing the money and the cheques in a wash room later.
