Mangalore, Feb 16: A person has been arrested by Coastal Security Police (CSP) on charges of possessing huge quantity of ganja.
The accused is from from Neereshwalya village of old port at Bunder.

Police recovered 13.840-kgs of ganja valued at Rs 3.46-lakh from his possession.
Police also seized a Maruti Swift car valued at Rs 4 lakh, and two mobile phones from the accused P Ibrahim, 38, resident of Ichlampady village in Kasargod district.
The total value of contraband and items seized is Rs 7.48-lakh.
CSP personnel led by CSP Police Inspector Y Gangi Reddy said the accused had brought the ganja to be sold to a certain Altaf at Bunder and had procured the ganja from Chintalpalli Basalbandhu Narsipatna in Andhra Pradesh. Police are on the lookout for Riyaz, his accomplice, who fled the scene and is absconding.
