Fliers seemed to be impressed with the cleanliness of washrooms and airport terminal for which they have given 4.66 scores each in Mangalore airport in the survey in second half of 2013. Good scores have been bagged for the airport for baggage delivery as the scores hit up to 4.05 in the later part of the survey as against the 3.99 scores during the earlier part.
What is impressive is the performance of Hubli airport, which did not just maintain its ranking but also registered an increase in score. Hubli airport was ranked 19th with a score of 4.36.
Passengers were impressed with the Wi-Fi services and ambience of Hubli airport, giving 4.6 marks each. In the last survey, it was 4.03 for ambience.
Toppers
The Survey has put Jodhpur (4.69) and Chandigarh (4.67) at the top leaving behind Bhubaneswar and Varanasi, who were fliers' favourites in the first half of 2013.
The topper Jodhpur airport has a score of more than 4.8 for cleanliness of washroom, comfort of waiting, cleanliness of airport terminal and ambience of the airport, while Chandigarh has this score for cleanliness of airport terminal, ambience and availability of ATMs.
Bhubaneswar (4.68) and Varanasi (4.68), the toppers in the previous round, scored 4.63 (rank 5) and 4.54 (rank 10) respectively in this round.
These airports were evaluated on 33 parameters, which included availability of baggage trolleys, parking facility, waiting time in check-in queue, waiting time for security clearance, cleanliness, and speed of baggage service.
