Mangaluru, Apr 4: The doctors of K S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) at Deralakatte, on the outskirts of the city, have lodged a complaint against relatives of an accident victim for allegedly assaulting them.

The complainants say, Tamim Iqbal and Zakir, the two 15-year-old boys who were injured in a road accident in Manjanady on March 31, were brought to the K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) and they were in the intensive care unit.
A group of 20 persons barged into the ICU, had arguments with hospital personnel and doctors and forcefully took Zakir out of the ICU.
While going out they damaged the door of the ICU.
After putting Zakir into an ambulance, the group assaulted Viraj, Vinay and Bijit who were in the vehicle and pushed them out.
The group took away Zakir to a private hospital at the Bhagwan Mahavir Junction. Zakir died in the hospital on the same night, while Tamim Iqbal succumbed to his injuries in KSHEMA. Ullal police are investigating the matter.
