Mangaluru, Dec 8: The spate of violence post Ulaibettu communal clash has been spread across Mangaluru Taluk. A fresh incident of stabbing was reported from Kunjathbail, near Kavoor on the outskirts of the city on Monday.

Source said that a youth identified as Shareef was brutally stabbed allegedly by Sangh Parivar activists in the broad daylight.
Two person, who came on a motorbike, assaulted Shareef and stabbed him with a sharp weapon before fleeing from the spot, they said.
Shareef was immediately taken to a private hospital. It is learnt that he is out of danger.
According to eye witnesses, Shareef was attacked by the miscreants without any provocation.
Another person who rushed to help Shareef was also assaulted by the duo, eye witnesses said.
CCB inspector Valentine D'Souza and DCP K V Jagadish visited the spot and urged the people to maintain peace. More details to follow.
