Mangaluru, Apr 22: The inauguration ceremony of the newly-formed organisation Kedaku Mukta Horata Samiti, with the aim to create a society free from drugs, was recently held at Kudroli here.
The inaugural ceremony was presided by Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime & Traffic) N Vishnuvardhan inaugurated the organisation.
President of Jamia Masjid, Kudroli and chairman of Muslim Central Committee K S Mohammed Masood, Assistant commissioner of police Thilakchandra, Kandathpalli Jumma Masjid president and former Mayor K Ashraf, Nadupalli Jumma Masjid president B Aboobaker, Muhiuddeen Jumma Masjid president Abdul Azeez and Salafi Jumma Masjid president Nasiruddeen Haiku were present as chief guests on the occasion. Mohammed Kunhi from Shanthi Prakashana was the main speaker in the programme.
President of the Samiti Abdul Azeez delivered the valedictory address, while secretary Maqbool Ahmed welcomed the gathering and made the introductory remarks.
