Mangaluru, Aug 6: Three youths have been arrested by police in Mangaluru for their alleged involvement in two separate theft cases.
The Mangaluru South Police have identified the arrested as Manikanta (21) and Ashwin (20) and Prakash N (35).
In a press release, the police said they arrested Manikanta and Ashwin in connection with the theft of Rs. 10,000 and a mobile phone belonging Suraj Kumar from a construction site on August 1 night.
The police said the accused had come in a scooter to the construction site and stolen the cash and mobile phone kept near the window of the shed in which Suraj Kumar was sleeping.
The police said they arrested Prakash for the alleged theft of a motorcycle belonging to Siddu, a student of St. Aloysius Evening College, from the parking areas near the service bus stand in the city on August 2.
