Mangaluru, Jun 5: A few flights in and out of Mangalore International Airport reported a few minutes delay while a few other flights diverted due to the heavy rain that the City experienced on Friday.

Two Mangaluru-bound flights were diverted at the Airport due to poor visibility and were diverted to Kozhikode.
Director of the Airport, J.T. Radhakrishna said that an Air India Express flight from Muscat which was to land at 2 p.m. and a Jet Airways flight from Abu Dhabi scheduled to land at 1.45 p.m. were diverted.
He said that the two flights returned to Mangaluru in the evening.
Another Air India Express flight from Doha scheduled to land at Mangaluru at 7:30 p.m. and a SpiceJet flight scheduled to land at 5:25 p.m. were reportedly diverted to Bengaluru.
The weather has dipped and the City is cooler for the last four days, a very different atmosphere from the heat it has been experiencing over the last few weeks. The airport too has seen lower temperatures.
