
Mangaluru, May 12: In a shocking incident, four minors from Bengaluru, who were housed in the Boys’ Home in Mangaluru last week have gone missing.
The missing boys have been identified as Siddaraju (16), Shivaprasad (17), Divakar (16) and Anjan Kumar (16), all from Kamalanagar in Bengaluru.
On Thursday they were found wandering in Dharmastala without any money, said police sources.
The Belthangady police on Friday produced the four boys before the Child Welfare Committee which directed the authorities to house them in the Boy’s Home till their parents come from Bengaluru. Since Sunday morning, the four children have been missing.
CWC Chairman Nikesh Shetty said that the boys have run away by breaking open window panes around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning. Parents of the boys are yet to arrive from Bengaluru, he said.
The Kavoor police have registered a missing compliant filed by Suresh, the first division clerk of the Home, which is run by the State Government. Police are searching for the boys.
