Mangaluru, May 31: The Coast Guard police have arrested a person for allegedly attempting to sell Ganja near NMPT guesthouse at Tannirbavi in Panambur police station limits on the outskirts of the city.
The arrested has been identified as Kumara T M (34), resident of Shanthalva compound in Monkey Stand area near Mangaladevi temple.
The accused was produced before the magistrate in third JMFC court and remanded to judicial custody.
According to the police, the accused has pending cases against him in various police stations in Mangaluru City in connection with murder, attempt to murder and illegal possession of weapons.
Under the guidance of Coast Guard police commissioner S L Chennabasappa, a police team led by Coast Guard police station inspector Y Gangireddy conducted the raid and apprehended the accused.
