Mangaluru, Jun 4: Among 12 CET helpline centres set up by Karnataka Examination Authority across the state, one Helpline Centre has been set up in Mangaluru at Karnataka (Government) Polytechnic (KPT), Kadri Hills, for online seat allotment and document verification for CET professional courses aspirants.

Announcing this at a press conference here on Thursday, CET - Helpline Centre, Mangaluru Chief Nodal Officer Jagjeevan Das Bhandary said that the document verification process would begin at the Mangaluru helpline centre from Friday onwards (except Sundays) according to the ranking of CET candidates.
Around 6,000 students from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu and Uttara Kannada districts are expected to participate in the online seat allocation process. There will be nine document verification counters and one registration counter with experienced document verification officers deputed from government pre-university colleges. The helpline centre will be assisted by a network engineer, a software engineer and 11 computer data entry assistants, he said.
He said that candidates should appear for the document verification process with the following original documents and one set of attested photocopy of the same documents. The following six documents were compulsory for all candidates – 2 passport size photos, CET Application copy, CET hall ticket, SSLC/CBSE marks card, PUC provisional marks card and Karnataka study certificate.
For those candidates seeking seats under reservation quota, they should include a caste/income certificate. Additional documents such as Kannada medium/rural certificate of 10 years and domicile certificate for ‘N’ clause candidates would be required, if applicable, he said.
The online seat allotment and document verification will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, he informed.
