Mangaluru, Sep 21: Two youths died on the spot after their motorbike collided with a tempo near Bajpe on the outskirts of the city on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Shivamurthy (22) from Badami and Santosh (24) from Kushalnagar. They were residing at Meramajalu in Bantwal. They were labourers.
It is learnt that they duo was heading towards Kateel from Bajpe when the tragedy took place. Police rushed to the spot and sent both the dead bodies for postmortem.
Tanker kills rider
In a separate mishap occurred on Sunday, a 21-year-old youth was killed after a speeding tanker rammed into his scooter at Padil junction on the outskirts of the city.

A critically injured Joyson Noel Sequeira was immediately taken to a hospital from the accident spot. However, he breathed his lost in the hospital.
The accident took place when Sequeira, an electrician by profession and a resident of Padil was returning home after shopping.
The rash and negligent driving by the tanker driver is said to be the reason for the accident. A case has been registered at the Mangaluru Rural Police Station.
