Mangaluru: Young beautician kills self after writing man’s name on hand

Mangaluru, Jan 8: A 21-year-old girl has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house at Santhoshnagar Kutthar in Mangaluru taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Madhushree, who was working as a beautician in Mangaluru. She was the only daughter of her parents.

The girl resorted to the extreme step on Saturday night when there was no one at the house as her father had not yet returned from the work and her mother had gone out to a grocery shop.

It is learnt that for last one month she had been suffering from depression and also had stopped going to the beauty parlour.

Before hanging herself using her shawl she had written ‘Sooraj’ on her hand. It is suspected that Sooraj is the name of a man whom she knew.

However, her parents have not blamed anyone in their complaint. A case has been registered at Ullal police station and investigations are on.
