Mangaluru, Nov 14: Sayed Hassan, a city-based young social activist and philanthropist, died after a brief period of illness at a hospital, here, on Saturday evening.

Sayed, who hailed from Koppa in Chikkamagaluru, had settled in Mangaluru after completing his engineering graduation in Bhatkal.
Though he was running a business in city, he was known for his helping nature and activism. He was the president of ‘Youth Against Dowry’ campaign and treasurer of Hope Foundation, a city based charity organisation. He was also a member of Talent Research Foundation.
He had lost his father, Abdul Khader Koppa, in his childhood. His elder brother Mohammed Muslim is the marketing head of Vartha Bharthi Kannada daily. One of his two sisters is a physician.
