Mangaluru, Apr 10: “Education makes man perfect. Lack of education is the root cause for all the evils,” said S M Rasheed Haji, founder chairman of Melkar Women's PU and Degree College.

He was speaking at the farewell programme for the first batch of B A and B Com final year students.
He also announced that the college management is planning to establish KG to PG classes in same campus in coming years with the intention of educationally uplifting girls in rural area.
Chief guest Kodijal Ibrahim was falicitated for being appointed as chairman of Mangalore urban development athority.
Speaking as the chief guest Ibrahim Kodichal, chairman, MUDA, called upon the teachers to teach human values to the children. Teachers should play a pivotal in spreading communal harmony in society, he said.
Another chief guest M.S.Mohammad, Zilla Panchayat member, released the annual magazine of the college, ‘PRANATHI 2014-15’.
College trustee S Abbas , guest of honour Abbas Ali, well wisher Abdul Hameed ,principal Abdul Latheef and other faculties addressed the students .
Outgoing students expressed their gratitude. Student Nouseena welcomed. Aseena Banu proposed vote of thanks and Aysha Athoofa compered the programme.
