Mangalore, May 9: Melkar Women's Pre University and Degree College has achieved 97.5% results in Karnataka PU board examination this academic year.
Commerce stream once again recorded 100% results. 45 students had appeared for exams among whom 7 students have scored distinction and 32 students secured first class.
Sameeda Banu secured the highest by scoring 548 marks. She scored 100 marks in Business Studies, 100 in Accountancy, 96 in Computer science and 91 in Kannada.
Farhana Banu (538), Ramzeena (527), Nafeesath Mishriya (517), Reenaz Banu (516), Nishath (513), Shain (511), Nashath Niza (504), are some of the other distinction holders.
In arts stream students have shown their best performance by promotion of 65 students among 67 appeared candidates. As well as 54 students have scored first class marks. Sumayya (489) has scored highest in arts stream.
In science stream 13 students had appeared for the exams out of which 11 students have shown their best performance by scoring first class. Among them Nasira (498) has scored the highest.
