Mangalore, May 23: Congress leader U T Khader today attacked BJP and its prime minister designate Narendra Modi over sending an invitation to Pakistan premier Nawaz Sharif for the swearing-in ceremony to be held on May 26 in New Delhi.

“Modiji, don't forget your own dialogues. You cannot fool the people all the time,” said Mr Khader reminding the BJP about its behaviour as an opposition party.
“Throughout the UPA rule and also during the recent election campaign Mr Modi and other senior BJP leaders lashed out at Pakistan and its premier. And now the same Modi has sent an invitation to Pakistan prime minister,” said Mr Khader.
Mr Khader said that former Indian prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh had come under lot of criticism from BJP and Mr Modi during the talks with Pakistan in Havana, in New York and in Sharm el-Sheikh.
While being in opposition, the BJP had raised hue-and-cry when UPA government wanted to establish cordial relations with the neighbouring countries. But as soon as they came to power, Mr Modi has invited the Pakistani leader to India, said Mr Khader.
If Mr Sharif declines Modi's invitation, it will serve as humiliation for the entire country, said Mr Khader, who is also the health and family welfare minister of Karnataka.
