Mangaluru, Oct 19: A day after police ruled out communal angle to the sensational Moodbidri murder case, the Vishva Hindu Parisad and Bajrang Dal have held two Muslim dominant political and social organisations responsible for the October 9 attack.

In a joint press meet on Monday VHP regional working president Jitendra S Kottari and Bajrang Dal state convenor Sharan Pumpwell said that all the four arrested accused in connection to the murder case are activists of Popular Front of India (PFI) and its political arm Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).
They also demanded the state government to immediately ban SDPI and PFI and also take stringent action against their activists for allegedly involving in anti-social activities and crimes.
Mr Pumpwell warned that Hindutva organisations would launch a massive agitation against the Siddaramaiah led Congress government if it fails to act against PFI and SDPI and end cow slaughter in Karnataka.
Reiterating VHP’s demand for Rs 25 lakh compensation to the family of murdered Bajrang Dal activist Prashant Poojary, Mr Kottari said that any attempts by government or police to protect the culprits will not be tolerated.
He said that the Mangaluru City Police Commissioner S Murugan ruled out the communal angle to the murder only because of the pressure from certain influential Congress politicians.
“The claim of police that an old animosity between the victim and the accused is the reason for the murder is far from truth. This is a well planned murder by the cattle traffickers as the victim was a cattle protector,” he said Mr Kottari.
On the other hand Mr Murugan told Coastaldigest.com that the cops were not yet sure whether the arrested accused belonged to any organisation.
