Bengaluru, Sept 28: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara observed that meeting of top police officials of Southern States would help reducing crime and use of state-of-the-art technology to curb criminal activities.
Speaking at the Southern Region Coordination Committee meeting of the Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG & IGs) here on Friday, Dr Parameshwara, who is also holds Home Portfolio, said such meetings would result in detection of more crimes besides exchanging vital information to curb criminal activities. He expressed happiness that Karnataka police taking a lead in this regard.
He said cyber crimes were on the increase in this internet age and stressed the need to introduce latest technologies to detect such crimes.
