Mysuru, Oct 18: The cultural capital of Karnataka and the 'City of Palaces' is gearing up for the world famous Mysuru Dasara Procession (Jumbo Savari) to be held on October 19 with caparisoned elephants in the lead.
This marks the culmination of the grand finale of the ten day festivities.
All roads leads to the cultural capital of the state as countdown already began with the city gripped in the intended fever.
Final touches are being given and efforts are being made by the district administration to ensure the event a memorable one.
Even though the festivities was some was key affair this year due to natural calamity at Kodagu district, but all cultural programmes conducted as usual with lakhs of people visited during the last nine days.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister has greeted people of the state on the occasion of Mahanavami, Ayudha pooja and Vijaya Dashami festivals.
Dasara festival is the symbol of victory of good over evil.
Let us face the evils that have plagued the society with the weapons such as peace, perseverance and unity and strive for the development of the state , he said in a statement.
May Goddess Bhubaneswari bless us all with peace and prosperity, he said in his greetings.
BJP leader and former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa also greeted the people on the occasion.
