Bantwal, Oct 30: Family members of the deceased Nasir who was killed in Malaibettu in Sajipa Munnoor village in August, have urged a CID investigation in the murder case.

They demanded that the murder case should be handed to CID for a detailed investigation. The conspiracy behind his murder should be exposed and his wife and children should be compensated for the murder, they urged.
"If no action is taken by the district administration in this regard within the next 15 days, we will conduct a sit-in protest in front of district in-charge minister's house," they warned.
Demand for retraction of Khader's statement
Youth Congress - Sajipa Munnoor ward unit president Umar Farooq urged that minister U T Khader should retract his statement that Nasir was a PFI activist. Nasir was an active member of Congress and had worked steadily for the party's win during the local assembly, Lok Sabha and gram panchayat elections. Minister Khader should immediately his condemning statement that Nasir was a PFI activist, he urged.
He further said that this was a condemnable situation and the minister should immediately render an apology to the family of Nasir in this regard.
It is sad that even after 82 days after the death of Nasir, who was actively involved in Congress affairs, leaders from the same party U T Khader and Ramanath Rai neglected to visit his house and offer condolences to his family, he criticised.
It could be recalled here that 27-year-old Nasir was stabbed to death by four miscreants on August 7 when he was going to Sajipa in his friend Mustafa’s auto-rickshaw. Police had arrested three persons-Vijith, Anish, and Kiran- in connection with the case.
