
Mangalore, Aug 14: Under the management of Dakshina Kannada Sunni Centre (DKSC), a new Shariath college was inaugurated at Markaz Ta'alimul Ehsan, along with the handing over of a new ambulance at a programme in Muloor on Wednesday.
Dr Mohammed Fazil Razvi inaugurated the programme and spoke on the occasion.
Speaking at the inauguration programme, principal of the new college Shaikhuna P M Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal said that the community would achieve progress only when the most underprivileged Muslims could avail equal opportunities. Hence, Muslims ought to work in this direction for the upliftment of the entire community, including the poor, hard working labourers and orphans. The lifestyle of Prophet Mohammed should become a way of life for all Muslims, he said.
He said that the college had been set up with the aim of imparting knowledge on the Islamic methods, study and archeology.
President of the institution Assayed Atakoya Thangal Kumbol presided over the programme.
Shaikhuna Ustadul Asateed Ali Kunhi handed over the charge of the college to the principal.
Manager of the institution Alhaj Mustafa Sa'adi welcomed the gathering.
The ambulance was handed over to Yenepoya Abdullah Kunhi by DKSC Youth Wing UAE for the service of the needy.
Assayed Jaffar Assaqaf Thangal, Al-Ehsan Moulana P Mohammed Baqavi, Ibrahim Faizi Pulikkur, M E Muloor, Abdurrahman Madani, former MLA Lalaji Mendon, Hidayatul Abbas, Abdul Jaleel Udyavar, Dr Kapu Mohammed, Dr B M Mohammed Jaffar, Abdul Hameed, Moidin Kutti, Razaq Haji and others were present.
