Mangalore, July 31: Sri Rama Sene supremo Pramod Mutalik on Sunday alleged that the proposed Bill on prevention of communal violence was loaded against majority Hindu community and was just another minority appeasement measure by Sonia Gandhi led UPA government.
Addressing the media persons in the city, Mr Mutalik said the 'draconian' Bill, which is expected to come up in next parliament session, is nothing but a weapon to target Hindu leaders. “All the members in National Advisory Council (NAC) who prepared this bill are anti-Hindus and one of them is foreigner”, he pointed out.
“No Muslim countries in the world have a Bill like this,” he opined adding that the NAC should have included saints, Mutt pontiffs while making this bill.
Bhatkal concern
Mr Mutalik also expressed his grave concern for 'no arrest' in connection with the recent Mumbai blasts. He said it is unfortunate that every blast in the county has direct link with Karnataka, especially coastal belt and Bhatkal.
The Jagannath Shetty Commission, which probed the Bhatkal riots, had pointed out the presence of terrorist elements in coastal Karnataka, he said.
RSS link-a fashion
To a query about RSS link into the recent Mumbai blast he said, “It has become a fashion to link the Rastriya Swayam Sevak Sangh to every blast that takes place in the country”
'Politics unfortunate'
Commenting on the confusions in the politics, Mr Mutalik said it was unfortunate and people of Karnataka were disappointed by the BJP led state government. “They have cheated the people,” he said.
