Moodbidri, July 15: A person was killed when a private bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw at Mijar near here on Sunday.
The victim is Shridhar Acharya, resident of Shakthinagar.
He was going to attend a programme in Moodbidri when 'Padmavathi' bus hit the auto. Mr Acharya crushed in the accident and he was declared brought dead at a nearby hospital. “He died due to excess bleeding,” said hospital sources.
The autorickshaw was completely destroyed in the accident that took place ataround 11 am.
A case has been registered at Moodbidri police station.
