Mangalore, October 25: Sangeet Bharathi Foundation, Mangalore will be organizing a 'Swar-Shringar' a Hindustani classical music and a dance programme on October 28, Sunday at Town Hall, Mangalore, said Sitarist Ustad Rafique Khan, president of the foundation.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, he said that as part of the music programme, there would be a Dhrupad Vocal recital by renowned Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar from New Delhi, accompanied by Pandit Udhav Shinde Apegaonkar from Mumbai on Pakhawaj (Indian drum). Following the recital, there will be a performance of 'Gotipua' dance form by a troupe of dancers from Konark Natya Mandap of Odisha, he said.
Free entry passes will be available at the venue between 4.30 pm to 5.15 pm before the programme, he said.
Narendra L Nayak, vice-president (Chairman of Expert Educational Institutions) and Ushaprabha Nayak, trustee of the foundation were present at the press meet.
