Mangalore, October 30: The ruling BJP government is being accused of plotting of a communal violence in the coastal region using the Mangalore jail as a tool ahead of elections.
Incidents of communal clashes inside the jail have been reported recently. At present, jail inmates comprise of Hindus, Muslims as well as underworld criminals. The likes of Subhash Padil, Madur Isubu, and Rashid Malabari have also become a part of Mangalore jail now. The smoke of communalism began emanating in the jail, the atmosphere of which was largely peaceful all these days.
It is being said that the BJP is encouraging violence inside the jail so that it transforms into a mode of violence outside and becomes a cause of communal unrest in the region ahead of elections.
There was an instance of fighting inside jail between Sangh Parivar supported Varvadi Praveen and the accused of Batteangady Dinesh Raj murder case. Men from both camps had to be hospitalized as a result of the fight.
Subhash Padil and team which is behind bars in connection with the homestay attack, engaged in a brawl with Illyas of Ullal and others. Some Muslim underworld elements from Ullal are said to have attacked a certain Mohan. Recently, on Bakrid day, Chandra Kotekar, Subhash Padil, Shailesh, Rashid Malabari, Madur Isubu, and Irfan reportedly engaged in a brawl.
It is being feared that these developments would have an impact on the notorious groups outside. Accused related to any case may trigger violences in case they are released on bail, it is being speculated. The BJP is waiting to cash in on such an opportunity and gear up for electoral battle with the communal agenda, it is being alleged.
