Mangalore, November 13: Students should abstain from following western culture and lead a traditional life style by concentrating on academics and aiming at future professional career to combat the stress opined Karnataka Legislative Council Member Capt. Ganesh Karnik.
He was addressing the engineering students, representing various engineering colleges in the district, after inaugurating 'Beat the Stress', a stress management workshop organized by Campus Interview Training Solutions jointly with Rotary Club of Mangalore Central on November 11 at Hotel Ocean Pearl, Mangalore.
He also said that students' life career is a beautiful atmosphere involved journey and the students should face the hurdles and challenges in-between and complete the journey successfully.
In his address President of Rotary Club of Mangalore Central Rtn. Dr. Sureshchandra Shetty said that the workshop was organized as a part of their vocational service project and the aim and objective were to relieve the stress of the students and the participants should avail maximum benefit from this session.
Dean of Shree Devi Institute of Technology Rtn. Dr. K.E. Prakash and NRI Industrialist Rtn. Elias Sanctis were the guests of honour on this occasion.
Prof. K. Dasharathraj Shetty, faculty of Manipal Institute of Technology and Asst professor of Shree Devi Institute of Technology Rtn. Ananth Prabhu participated as resource persons.
CITS Director Er. Raghav Shetty welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks. Nikhil Pai compered the programme.
About 150 engineering students participated actively in the workshop.
