Two held for dumping dead pig at Masjid

Mangalore, November 21: Two persons have been arrested by the police in connection with dumping a headless body of a pig in the premises of a Masjid at Mallur-Demmale on the outskirts of city.


The accused have been identified as Pavan Kumar (20) and Avinash (23), both residents of Bantwal.

 

Sleuths from jurisdictional Mangalore Rural Police station, who were investigating the case, nabbed the duo on Tuesday.

 

Morning prayer-goers were startled by the sight of the headless body of the unclean animal in the premises of Badriya Masjid on November 12. A tense atmosphere had prevailed in the area following the discovery.
