Mangalore, November 21: Activists of Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat and Bajrang Dal celebrated the death of Ajmal Kasab, who was hanged and buried in Pune jail on Wednesday morning

The secret execution of Ajmal Kasab, the lone arrested in 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, triggered joy among the saffron activists, who gathered near Pumpwell circle in the city to 'celebrate victory'.

They burst crackers and distributed sweets. Movement of vehicles near busy Pumpwell circle was held up for some time following the celebration.

Meanwhile, leaders of all political parties in coastal districts of Karnataka have welcomed the implementation of the Supreme Court verdict to hang Kasab.

“'Kasab's hanging should send a strong signal that India is against terrorism and however big or to whichever place they belong to will be dealt severely according to law of the country,” said a BJP leader.
