A splendid stage was erected, within a few minutes in front of the audience, who lapped up the carols and dances of artists for nearly two hours. Around 150 artistes, half of them inmates of White Doves performed.
Students of Fr Muller's College also participated in skits, plays and dance.
The carols presented by the Corrine Rasquinha, founder president of White Doves, and her team with a beautiful rich voice gave bliss to the audience.
A short play, with a message that the God is always with those who serve mankind and help poor, was followed by the melodious songs. The character of Jesus Christ caught audience's attention because of its lively acting and rich dialogues.
At the end of the show funds were collected from the audience for the cause of social service.
Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, who was the special guest of the occasion, presented the Christmas message and released a Christmas bulletin.
Fr Dennis D'Sa welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks. Fr Richard Coelho, Fr Rudolph D'Sa, Fr Vincent Saldanha, Fr Peter Noronha, Fr Vincent Menezes, Fr Walter Pinto, Dr Srinath Rao, Dr J P Alva were also present. Susan compered the programme.
The White Doves, which stages such shows during Charismas season every year to raise funds, this year staged its first show December 7.
'White Doves' which is celebrating its 18 years in social service, has been engaged in providing shelter to the downtrodden, the poor people, who are picked up from the streets, irrespective of their caste, creed or religious affiliations.
Their physical, medical and spiritual needs are also being looked after by the organisation with the help of its supporters and benefactors.
