The victim Mohideen Shahad, a resident of Yedapadavu on the outskirts of the city, filed a complaint with Bajpe police on Monday in this regard.
He identified the accused as Harsih, Shamith, Sheshappa and Sapalya.
In his complaint he said that he was assaulted by four youth while returning home on Sunday evening.
His attackers had reportedly threatened him of dire consequences if he continued friendship with Hindu girls and continued to tease them.
He also alleged that the attackers snatched Rs 18,000 and his mobile phone. Bajpe police are investigating the matter.
