R.I.Dist.3180 Dist Governor Rtn. Dr. B. Devdas Rai speaking as a chief guest revealed that GSE programme is paired between the two districts is a part of Rotary International Service. He further explained the purpose and importance of this Rotary project and wished the team a pleasant stay during their 30 day's study tour of the district.
Rtn. Angela Biggs, a member of Rotary Club of Kendal R.I.Dist.1190 and the group leader expressed her utmost pleasure over the Art, Culture, Food and Hospitality prevailed and practiced in the coastal city.
Ms. Diane Livingstone (Healthcare professional), Mrs. Emily Maclean (Consultant Agriculturist), Ms. Tracy Calvert (Media), Ms. Nicola Haworth (Chef) narrated their individual and memorable experiences during the study tour, visit to educational, health and industrial units, and observations on religious performance, friendship and hospitality and expressed their utmost happiness over it.
Dist GSE team Chairman Rtn. Devdas Kamath introduced the visiting guests. President of Rotary Club of Mangalore Rtn. Madhava Suvarna welcomed and later presented mementos to the guests. Secretary Rtn. Sunil Rao presented a brief report. Club International Service Director Rtn. Dr. Vasanth Pai proposed a vote of thanks. The visiting team will also visit historical, religious places, educational, health, and cultural institutions and industrial, commercial, and agricultural units in Coorg, Mysore, Chickmagalur, Shimoga, Hassan during their one month long study and research tour.
