Mangalore, Jan 12: Members of Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajarang Dal staged a protest at Kadri war memorial, Kadri in the city on Friday against the alleged killings of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani Army.
While addressing the protesters, District President of Vishwa Hindu Parishat Manohar Thulajaram demanded India to take stringent action against Pakistan.
“Even after few days of barbaric killings of soldiers Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh and Lance Naik Hemaraj Singh, the Prime Minister, Defence Minister and Foreign Minister have not taken any action against the Pakistan. We condemn their unwarranted silence,” he said.
In a memorandum submitted to the President Pranab Mukherji, he along with Vice President of State Vishwa Hindu Parishat M B Puranik, District Secretary of VHP Gopal Kuthar urged to dismiss the 'weak Central government of India' and to order Indian Army 'to take befitting retaliation measures against Pakistan'. “We offer any kind of support to such strong measures against the Pakistan” he said.
The members also condemnednthe brutal killings of Indian soldiers by Naxalites. “They are enemies within our country,” stated the memorandum.
Candles were lit and a minute's silence was observed as tribute to the soldiers.
