Mangalore, Jan 14: Talent Research Foundation has decided to celebrate Eid-Milad by honouring the common people who work for the benefit of the society without recognition over the years.
Revealing this to media persons at Press Club here on Thursday, Muhammad Rafeeq, Advisor of the Foundation said that the awards will be given in 10 categories in which three prizes will be given in each category and for each community i.e Hindu, Muslim and Christians. Dedication, honesty, hard work, service, time-consciousness etc will be considered at the time of selection, he said.
Awards:
1. Lifetime Achievement Award for elderly persons
2. Best Social Worker Award
3. Sadbhavna (Goodwill) Award
4. Best Media Representative Award
5. Parisara Mithra (For those who involved in preserving environment, cleanliness drive etc)
6. Arogrya Mithra (For those who involved health service)
7. Chaithanya Award (For differently-abled achievers)
8. Janajagruthi (Public-Awareness) Award (for creating awareness on education, health, sanitation, harmony etc)
9. Honest Driver award
10. Swavalambana Award for self reliant women folks who are involved in making rotis, parota, papad etc
The eligible candidates can apply for the award on or before February 28, 2013.
