Mangalore, Feb 1: The 'Sanghik' programme of RSS will be held on a sprawling 65 acre land on the outskirts of the city at Kenjar, on February 3.

The arrangements for the programme are on and three stages for the program have been put up.

Addressing a news conference, leader Prakash P S said that arrangements have been made to accommodate over two lakh people.

“Since there were all possibilities of Nehru Maidan running short for the programme, we have booked this venue. The expense of the entire program is estimated at Rs 40 lakhs.

The programme will commence at 4.30 pm. He said that no separate arrangements will be made to seat the political leaders attending the program. “They will also take part in the program as volunteers wearing the uniform. No special recognition will be given to them,” he said adding that water, buttermilk and bun will be given to the volunteers. Apart from this, food packs will be distributed to them after the programme.

The centre stage will have RSS Sarasanchalak Mohan Bhagawat, Sara Karyavahak Suresh Joshi, Karnataka South Prantha Sanghachalak Ma Venkataramu, Mangalore Vibhag Sangha Chalak Dr Vaman Shenoy among others will be present.

“This will be an attempt to unite the Hindus,” he said adding that anybody who respects this land is a Hindu.

'Ghosh Pradarshan' (band) and various other programmes will be held before Mohan Bhagwat's address.

While no handbills, pamphlets and buntings have been used for the program, a 78 ft tall pole will be installed to hoist the 'Bhagawadhwaja'.
