Online investment company cheats investors of Rs 65 lakh

Udupi, Feb 6: Despite common man being told time and again to be careful while investing their hard earned money into investment firms, a fraudulent online investment firm has cheated a group of investor of their money.

A person named Umesh Johori from Uttar Pradesh had advertised on his website www.bidhereindia.com, inviting investors to put in their money and double it through systematic proceed of bidding.

Accordingly, a person named Preethesh Shetty from Udupi paid a sum of Rs six lakh to the company from February 2012 to March.

On further request of Mr.Johori, Mr Shetty had convinced his group of friends to invest here.

The total sum invested by the group of five was Rs 65 lakh, which has now been taken away by a fraudulent online investment company.

A case has been registered with Udupi police in this regard.
