Addressing the protesters, writer G. Rajashekhar condemned the bomb blasts in Hyderabad and called for a thorough investigation. Those involved in the heinous act of planting the bombs should be punished irrespective of their religion's denomination, he said.

“Whenever such blasts have taken place in the past, Muslim community has been looked at with suspicion. This should stop. Since people belonging to all religions have died in the explosions, the needle of suspicion should not be aimed at any particular community,” he said.

M.P. Moideenabba, president of Zilla Muslim Okkoota, said the bomb blasts in Hyderabad were a dastardly act and the entire Muslim community condemned them.

If there was any political conspiracy involved in the blasts, it should be exposed, he said.

Idris Hoode, head of the Hoode unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, said the Hyderabad blasts should be condemned by everyone.
