Announcing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, chief co-ordinator of Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple Vijaynath Shetty said that the camp would address general health needs of the people, gynaecology and paediatric problems, and provide free consultation, treatment and medication, including free ECG, blood tests and ultrasound scans. A wide range of services in general medicine, women's health, children's health and skin care will be provided at the camp with follow-up treatment at AJIMS Hospital. This is a rare opportunity for the people belonging to underprivileged sections of society, especially children and women, to avail specialised care under qualified doctors, he said.
A team of medical practitioners of Department of General Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Department of Pediatrics and Department of Dermatology from AJIMS will attend to the patients at the camp. Patients covered by Arogya Bhagya, Yashaswini, Sampoorna Suraksha and other government schemes can also avail treatment at the camp.
The camp will be held in the premises of the temple from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Janashree Group Insurance Scheme
In order to provide economic security to the underprivileged people of this rural region, Janashree Group Insurance Scheme will be introduced at the camp in association with Life Insurance Corporation of India. Those availing the insurance should pay Rs 100 as premium for Rs 30,000 insurance cover for one year. This includes cover of Rs 30,000 in case of normal death and Rs 75,000 for accidental death, along with a string of other benefits. The scheme is open to individuals and families Below Poverty Line (BPL) aged between 18 to 58 years.
